This is a very, very overnice set of pans! After reading some of the reviews, I was worried. Non only is this set well fabricated, only it won't dent easily either. It's very heavy!! Yes, there are impressions on the bottom of each pan, but I remember it might exist designed to allow the escape of air bubbles. Either way, the bottoms are easy to make clean even with the impressions. The only difficult role cleaning was the sides where they are put together.
